I picked this bundle up when Amazon was offering their bundles + a game for $349 plus a $50 Amazon gift card. For $299 for 2 games, the bundled LEGO game and a game of my choosing, I couldn't pass that up!

I looked at the various other bundles, things like Forza or Call of Duty, etc, just didn't sound fun. I've never played those games, nor was I particularly interested. But, when I saw there was a LEGO game bundle, I knew that would be fun. Something my whole family could enjoy.

The game itself is extremely fun. My 5 year old had no problem beating it by himself. The puzzles are just the right balance of difficult enough to be engaging for even an adult, but not too difficult that young elementary school children will get stumped.

I also enjoy that this bundle includes the physical version of the game, as opposed to a download code. I forget exactly how large the game is once installed, but it's on the order of 25-30GB. Even with 12mbps internet that's not going to be something we could have installed quickly had the physical disk not been included.

I purchased this during a FANTASTIC sale prior to Black Friday for my 8 year old son as his Christmas present this year. He absolutely LOVES his Xbox One! The graphics are fantastic, and he's able to play all of his favorite games with his buddies online. I just wish the Kinect for the Xbox One was a bit more affordable like the Xbox 360 version...

The only con that I have, and this is with all of the current next gen consoles, is that most of the games are rated M these days. That's not the really fault of Microsoft or Sony, it's just the state of the current game design industry. As the father of an 8 year old son, it would be nice to see some more fun, non-sport, titles put out for younger gamers. That's not me trying to keep them from making games for adults, by no means. It's just that they need to nurture along the next generation of gamers with more fun and exciting titles. Trust me, building up your brand loyalty with these little kids will mean very strong support from them as they get older and move onto more mature titles when they, and their parents are ready.

I constantly think to myself, "Why do you make it so hard for me to play a game?".

Everything about the Xbox is difficult. It's like using an old windows computer packed with garbage software.

    Terrible Interface
The massively clunky and laggy interface is extremely difficult and non-intuitive to navigate. Everything takes a second or two to register, including just moving the cursor. The amount of steps it takes to do anything is....obscene. Why does it take me 8 steps to load a game I own? Why does it take me 9 steps to launch Netflix? It's filled with useless menu items that make absolutely no sense, and only serve to get in the way of going to where you need. I'm constantly barraged by ads that ad additional difficult in navigation. The controls to move around are very non-intuitive. The cursor is not very present and makes it difficult to actually see what you are selecting. The list goes on.
The product manager here needs to be bloody fired.

    Filled With Garbage
I'm constantly inundated with useless feature and software. They get in the way of doing anything. More over, all of the default software is GARBAGE. They lag, provide dated selections and are far inferior to modern counterparts. Its akin to having a windows computer and using the default services. For example, the Game DVR system. Holy smokes. Literally the definition of garbageware. It has a limit of how much can be recorded. It takes several steps to record. It takes upwards of a minute, mid-game, to record a clip. What? It takes a minute to record a minute? There goes valuable gametime. This is 2015. I purchased a system with Terabytes of memory and internet access. Not only should I expect to have everything pre-recorded for me and easily accessible, but this was provided on the previous Xbox AND is something the Playstation does seamlessly. Garbagewear. I was forced to use Twitch.

    Online/friends
Again, the terrible interface makes it very difficult to play anything with anyone. Constant notifications are incredibly annoying as well. I add people I don't know who I had fun with in previous games. I don't need to know when they are online or what movies they are watching. Shoot, I don't even want to know that about my friends!! More over, why do *I* need to keep track of how I know this person? Can't you tell me what game we played together, specifically, and when it was I added them? let me take some notes? This is 2015, this isn't an unreasonable expectation.

    Games
Great selection of games, but you can forget about multiplayer. I purchased this to play Halo 5 and Star Wars Battlefront. Awesome games, but they seem to want you to play solo for the purposes of a ridiculous obsession with 60 FPS gameplay. Halo has been a time honored tradition with friends. And now, we can't play together anymore. We like to play shooters, why is it so hard to find one to play together? Oh well, guess we'll stick to smash brothers, and mario kart.

    Short story:
If a deal is too good to be true; it's probably a bad deal. If you are purchasing electronics, buy from a reputable dealer.

    The long story:
It would have been a great gift; if the controller would have worked. We purchased this around late November/early December for our son's birthday at the end of December. By the time we got home and got it set up, we realised the controller was a little funny. It worked briefly, but needed to be plugged in. Being from a Nintendo NES generation, we thought it was a wired controller. It seemed to work a couple of times while plugged in, but again, it was brief.

We currently have an Xbox with one working controller; one we had to purchase from Best Buy (where we probably should have gone in the first place). When I contacted Mango, they said their exchange/return policy was 30 days. I was only asking for a solution to a broken controller they had sold me - a replacement.

I would suggest buying directly from Microsoft since Mango only provides service up to 30 days after purchase. A reputable dealer will assist you in replacing a faulty piece.
