- Reviewed in the United States on April 19, 2017I've been using these headphones for about a month with no issues. The sound quality is good and the mic delivers clear voice for calls. The noise cancellation works well. I generally keep the noise cancellation at CityMix Level 3.
The size is compact and easy to carry and wear in most situations.
The touch pad works well and has not caused any accidental touch issues yet.
App is basic but does give the ability to control base and treble levels. Would prefer a little more fine tuning via the app.
Battery life is good. I have not drained the battery yet but I've listened to them for 10 hours with noice cancelling enabled. Battery was still at 40%.
They are comfortable for a couple hours. After that I have to take them of for a bit. This is more than likely true of any headphone.
Bluetooth connects quickly and works between my laptop and cell phone. When I get an incoming call on my cell phone, the sound from my laptop stops transmitting through the headphones.
I have not owned a high end pair of headphones before but friends have told me that the sound quality is comparable to higher end bluetooth headphones. Sound quality may not be quite as good but my untrained ears would not be able to tell a difference.
I recommend these headphones to anyone looking for a midrange headphone with good sound quality.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 16, 2017So I love a good pair of headphones. I needed to upgrade to my first wireless set and came across these because of the design and noise canceling feature. I had my eye on the U jays as well and these stood out because of the detailed noise canceling which is by far it's the best feature. The headphones use some sort of microphone to let in sound and tone in on sound. So it can block out sound as well as pick it up. This allows for 4 levels of noise cancellation (my opinion 3 and 4 are the same) plus the ability to listen to people around you. You can super hear people like Superman when you make calls! All of that super hearing can give you a headache after 2 hours of use which is my biggest issue with the headphones. While they are perfect at work I have to eventually take them off or I feel sick. The second main issue is the touch controls. You tap once for pause, twice for skip and 3 taps for back skip. The pause works fine but the skipping is VERY annoying. It usually only registers 1 tap. This is a UX issue they could have easily fixed with a swipe for skipping and tap for pausing. The head phones also pause when you take them off which is cool but they start playing as soon as they register any touch so they start playing when you have them around your neck:/ The trick to these issues is HARD tap twice for skipping and turn the headphones off if they are around your neck. 2 fixes that work but I shouldn't have to do. The sound is heightened by the noise cancellation so it sounds good but I know there are better (more expensive) sounding headphones. Overall they are pretty solid but not perfect.
Pros
-These are the best noise canceling on ear headphones on the market. You feel like you're transported in space or a superhero with sonic hearing
-They look amazing
-Perfect for city and work
-Bluetooth connection is easy and strong
-Volume control
-Can make calls (built in microphone)
-Sound is a little above average for this price point but there are more expensive ones that sound better
Cons
-Skipping songs feels impossible/dumb
-Tight fit
-Can give headaches
-Will side off head when in horizontal position (if you were to do push ups)
- Needs a touch control switch because it registers unwanted touches when on neck
*So if you don't mind big clunky headphones I would say something like the bose would be a better option for noise canceling and controls. For me, I value look more than the average person, therefore, I'm willing to deal with the cons. I will say to Libratone most of these cons can be fixed and I expect an update to touch controls soon. Then I will give it 5 stars.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 16, 2019Hi,
I can be a sucker for nice packaging just like anyone else could be.
But when someone sells me a cute little hatbox stuffed with a set of headphones that just don’t work, no matter how well I’ve followed the instructions (and given that I’m 65 and have had stereo systems with headphones since I was 15 - yup, count ‘em, that’s 50 years worth of headphones), I just say NO to 179 bucks when I can get the tinny sound of buds for no extra cost with my phone!
And that bird on the headphones? Well, the bird is “cute”, too. But if a bird can’t sing...well, figure that one out.
But there’s always tech support, right? Well, not necessarily. There’s no phone support but I thought email “support” might do the trick. So I sent the company an email including the following copied from this site and into the email:
“Libratone Q Adapt Active Noise Cancelling Headphones, Wireless Bluetooth Over Ear Headset w/Mic, CSR 8670 Chip, aptX Lossless Hi-Fi Sound with Deep Bass, 20 Hours Playtime for Travel Work TV-Black”
The “genius” who responded didn’t even have a clue as to what product I was writing about.
So, bottom line: If you don’t mind paying close to 200 bucks for “cuteness”, BUY THESE HEADPHONES and a Martini for yourself and/or your date...except that when you add 2 Martinis to the tab, you’ll be spending more than 200.
But if you’re looking for a bird that can sing, then buy a set of real, working headphones and leave the “cuteness” on someone else’s wish list.
Cuteness RETURNED!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Best noise-cancellation headphones I've ever used - wired or wireless
I could not be happier with this purchase. Having worn them for two days straight, I can confidently say that these are the best noise-cancelling headphones I've ever owned. They are also the most elegant and - probably most importantly - by far the most comfortable.
I was a little worried when ordering them that without the cup there'd be a major sound bleed issue, but listening to them in my shared office at the same volume that I always listen to music there were even less complaints from my neighbours than with my previous in-ear headphones or the Bose over-ears I used before that. I definitely got compliments from my office mates on their look as well, from the case to the headphone themselves, they're stunning. Being clumsy and dropping them a couple times already I'm also happy to report that they're sturdy!
Having multiple options for noise cancellation is a great feature and I think will probably be most people's favourite. It works flawlessly in terms of being able to adjust quickly between the street and the bus. Haven't had the chance to test them on an airplane yet but looking forward to it!
If you're the type to wear while working out, wore them during training at the boxing gym and didn't have to adjust once, even during bag work (never had that experience before). Noise cancellation also meant I was able to focus and stay in the zone the whole time. No distractions from my gym mates.
Couldn't recommend this product highly enough!

4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty Great, but pricey
I came to these after losing my Google Pixel Buds, and I'll make a few comparisons to those.
So after almost a week of use, here are my thoughts:
Pros:
- Battery is really good. I regularly get at least two days out of normal use.
- Noise cancelling is great. I don't think I can go back.
- Get plenty loud. Pixel Buds were too quiet. Also the noise cancelling means they don't need to get loud.
- Can pair with multiple devices at the same time. Though only one will receive audio at once.
- Pretty comfortable. Not perfect, they can hurt the ears a bit after hours and hours of wear.
- Harder to lose than buds. The size makes it unlikely you'll leave them anywhere.
Don't Care:
- Bass seems low. Could just be used to poorly tuned headphones.
- Touch controls are ok. Not perfect, but more responsive than the Pixel Buds.
Cons:
- Kinda pricey.
- Slip off easily if you bend over a bit.
- They don't read notifications. This was a killer feature on the Pixel Buds.
- Google Assistant integration is not as good as Pixel Buds. To be expected, but using voice prompt to 'skip 30 seconds' was better on the Buds.
- Changing volume should make a clicking noise. Can be difficult to tell if the volume adjustment is happening.
- Wear detection doesn't work great. Can take awhile to notice when they are taken off, and if the phones rest against your chest, they will start again.
On the whole I'm pretty happy with them.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great battery life
Great battery life. Clean sound. It does not go boom, if you into that sort of things.
Marketing around noise canceling is confusing. There are no 4 levels of noise canceling (and should not be). Instead, you have 4 options: mic enhanced, off, level 1, level 2. That is actually pretty great. 2 is more aggressive in noise canceling, but you cannot use it on the go since the wind is creating static. Level 1 is fixing it.
Multi-connect actually works on this one. I had this function before in headphones and it struggled to understand which device is playing and which is silent. So I end up disconnecting. That problem is not here with this one. And in general software part is really well thought. For example, when I remove my old headphones they also pause the track. But if it was paused it start playing when you remove headphones. In short kudos to whoever is in charge of engineering there.
My sole complaint is that they are too tight. They are fine if you listen no more than 2-3 hours in one go. So daily usage - no problem. Traveling - your ears will hurt if you prefer to keep them on all the time. Not a dealbreaker for me, but something I hope they will address in the future versions.
UPD after about some extra time using it.
Sound quality in wireless mode vs wired can be massively different, especially when it comes to instrumental music (and especially string based instruments). I thought that quality was quite all right in the Bluetooth mode, but when I listen to something with jack plugged in and then hit the button to turn on Bluetooth. It feels like I was put under water.
It is up to you to decide if it is good or bad. I like the fact that I discovered it and using wire now when I just want to sit and enjoy music or play something. I just wish it would not have to be the quest to discover. In fact, I just recently found out that there is a double tap with 2 fingers option to scroll track forward. May be there is a way to rewind as well, no idea. Even double tap was not on promotion materials or manuals, I just did it accidentally.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great head phone with a poorly designed headband.
Great headphone, blue tooth works good and it looks stylish, not extremely bulky. The band starts to hurt the top of my head after awhile though which sucks cause I can't wear it for a long duration. Also the head phone touch features don't work as great as I was expected. I end up looking stupid tapping the side of my head to pause. The silent feature works well though. I've also recieved phone calls with them on and didn't get any complaints about not being able to hear me clearly.
